South River Restaurant & The Paddock Wine Shop was established in 1993 and is a located in Waynesboro, Virginia in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. With convenient interstate access off I 64 at exit 94, South River is located within minutes of Staunton—home of Black Friar’s Playhouse, Charlottesville—home of Monticello, Michie Tavern and Montpelier, and the famous Blue Ridge Parkway and
Skyline Drive.

South River Restaurant & The Paddock Wine Shop is owned and operated by Linda Roland. South River specializes in fresh seafood, quality hand-cut Angus steak, fresh vegetables, and home made soups and breads. Lunch starts at 11:30 am and dinner begins at 4:00 pm. Catering, boxed lunches, business meetings and semi-private banquet room are available on request.

Our wine list and retail selections represent over 30 wineries and vineyards in Virginia, as well as wines from around the world. South River offers an extensive wine list with many available by the glass. Weekly wine tasting and special wine & food events held at South River, are one of the areas best kept secrets.
